Dear ENRIQUE ADAR,
I just wanted to send one final note before our deadline tomorrow.
The horror of what's happening to wolves as a result of booming oil and gas development is sickening. With time running out to take our message to Congress before they vote on legislation to fast-track the Keystone XL tar sands oil pipeline, we're at a critical moment to save wolves' lives.
The response from people like you has been overwhelming. Since every gift makes a difference, we're raising our goal--and hoping to raise $4,583 more by midnight TOMORROW.
Make a difference by donating $20 to keep up the fight for thousands of wolves and other wildlife threatened by expanded tar sands development.
Over 500 wolves have already been shot and poisoned in a perverse effort to "rescue" caribou impacted by loss of habitat due to booming oil and gas development. And despite the fact that the Canadian government has said that 6,000 more wolves will need to be killed over the next five years to accommodate tar sands development, this travesty is largely flying under the public radar. That's why we need to raise the alarm and mobilize advocates around the country to contact Congress before it's too late.
Any day now, Congress will vote on legislation to mandate approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, which would rapidly expand tar sands operations and put the lives of thousands of wolves in jeopardy. We still haven't heard from you, and time is running out to make a difference for wolves.
Please donate $20 by midnight tomorrow--we must end this slaughter.
Time after time, you've stood up for wildlife, and I can't tell you how much I thank you for it. When President Obama rejected the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline earlier this year, it was because of dedicated wildlife advocates like you.
Now, we're close to a crucial vote and your support is needed more than ever to defend this victory and make sure Congress does the right thing for wolves--before it's too late.
Help us raise $4,583 more by tomorrow. Make your $20 gift today to make a difference for the future of wolves.
Thanks for all you do to protect wildlife.
